We are excited to share the news that Granblue Fantasy: Versus, the new fighting game from Cygames and ARC SYSTEM WORKS, the developers of Guilty Gear and BlazBlue, will include an “RPG Mode” that features an original story.
To illustrate this newly announced RPG Mode in Granblue Fantasy: Versus the original Japanese trailer, which was shown at EVO 2019, can be found below:
ThIs “RPG Mode” allows players to experience the game as an action RPG, with an original Granblue Fantasy: Versus storyline replete with beautiful cut scenes and boss battles against giant Primal Beasts.
Additionally, a fully developed training system, which will be very familiar to Granblue Fantasy fans, will also be implemented.
Also, as a reminder, Granblue Fantasy: Versus will also be playable at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, which is open to the public between the 20th and 24th August 2019, on the PlayStation booth in Hall 7.
In addition to the roster from Closed Beta Test, which saw Gran, Katalina, Charlotta, Ferry and Lancelot as playable characters, the newly announced character, Percival, will be playable in this demo on the Gamescom showfloor.

Granblue Fantasy: Versus is in development by Cygames and Arc System Works for the PlayStation 4 with further release details to be announced at a later date.
